As 5 students moving into our new house we expected it to be clean, also boasting about the fact that we'd have a dishwasher which to this day has still not been fixed. Upon moving in sinks and sides were dirty and the carpet smelt damp for weeks. This was just the first of our experiences with Cosgroves. We then experience things such as our hall light completely falling from the ceiling, cupboard doors breaking off and a leaking toilet all of which needed to be sorted immediately but when I rang and reported all of this no one bothered returning my call to even let me know they were going to sort it. When going in to the estate agents to sort this face to face the response we got was a rude one, as if we'd done something wrong. Since then we have been consistently threatened with late fees that they once agreed to waive but now constantly threaten to re instate. They will NEVER compromise with you, taking us on as students they knew we relied on student loans to pay rent and on only one occasion i requested if my cheque for one month could be posted merely days later, giving them weeks notice but still incurring in fines and arguments for days. They have also entered the premises with no permission letting themselves in but claim we are lying and they did inform us they were coming over when in fact they didnt. All in all these estate agents are no help to anyone, have no consideration for any ones circumstances and do not wish to make the customer happy.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Compromising now and again, perhaps a level of understanding because by acting the way you have we would never rent from you again and bad word of mouth is the worst thing for a business
