philip james have given us utterly disgraceful service! my advice is to avoid them at all costs! throughout our tennancy problems remained unfixed, we had no keys for our upstairs windows, no back gate key and upon moving in the house was infested with fleas which took considerable expense to remove! all of our complaints seem to have vanished and staff were extreemly rude and unhelpful. charges for renewing contracts were extreemly high and they tried to charge us twice in a six month period. we were eventually forced to pay the extra charge in order to release our refrance for our new property.
when we moved out despite cleaning and moving things back to there correct place, philip james are trying to charge us £275 for dusting and cleaning.... we are now dealing with the deposite dispute scheme. the man who dealt with our complaints was utterly unconcerned with what we had to say and didnt make any attemt to negotiate despite our best efforts to be reasonable! i have rented for the last ten years and they are undoubtedly the worst company i have ever dealt with and the most rude and offensive staff.
What agent could do to change your mind?
idealy the agent could of dealt with issues raised, could of vastly improved their customer service and could of been far more reasonable with our deposit rater than trying to rob us for every penny.

Without knowing who this tenant is and therefore which property she rented it is hard to disprove her claims. However if she had a flea problem we would have solved that and obviously not at her expense.
We would not charge her twice in a six month period so her comment is untrue.
Unlike some other agents we do not ever charge for a reference, so yet another untruth.
We also have not lost a case with the TDS this year, therefore she must have have been unable to prove that we were wrong to charge her for leaving the property dirty.
