The initial contact with Walton and Allen was good. It was Nick that came out and took all the pictures, which I want to say were very professional, as was his conduct. The house was sold immediatly the following morning as there was already a list of people interested in the area.
However unfortunatly four weeks in my buyer considered pulling out. At this point it was handed over to Vanessa at the Arnold branch. The person who was buying my house was undecisive. Over a period of two weeks we didn't really know what was happening, until the people we were buying off, estate agents infomed us, along with my solicitor. The communication was very poor. A week into her proving hard to get hold of, I asked Vanessa and Dale, to put my property back onto the market. I was told that it takes 48 hours to put the property back on. I felt ignored when instrucing them to do this., However the commencing week everything fell through, and they decided to put it back on the market. The sold board was removed, and no board replaced. I rang up about this, was told that they would get a for sale one back up, I came home a couple of days later and find another sold board up. So I had to call to put this right, which they did.
The final straw was that we were scheduled a viewing on a Saturday morning, which I was informed Walton and Allen will do. Myself and my partner were at work. I later received a call from my 15 year old daughter informing me that the estate agent hadn't turned up, and she had to do the viewing!! When I called Walton and Allen they informed me that they had tried to get hold of the potential buyer but couldn't, so they weren't sure if the viewing will take place, therefore the agent doesn't come I then spoke to Dale no apology was offered, just excuses!! I suggested that they should of called me, as that could of left my daughter in a very vulnerable situation. All he said was he will have a word with the staff that were on that day. After the call I thought about the reponse to my compliant. I decided to call Dale and request that they remove the propery of the market. He never asked why, I had to tell him, as I felt an explanation was needed. He never offered any way in which he could put it right, no apology. I asked him about returning my key. He responded by telling me that my key is at the Nottingham branch, when I asked him if it was possible to take it to Arnold, he replied by saying "if anybody is going" I was quite surprised to learn that Dale is a sales manager, as his attitude was disgusting, as is his customer service. This had resulted in having to put my property up with another agent. Very dispointed by your service!!!
