We chose Michael Hardy because we were impressed with the Wokingham team and particulary Mark who came out to visit us after we first contacted them. His local market knowledge was first class, he didn't blind us with sales speak and he had a clear view of the best sales strategy for our property. Both he and the rest of the team were a pleasure to deal with and the service we received felt like a personal one. They are not the cheapest though, but we knew that from the outset.
The sales brochure Michael Hardy produced was high quality with good photographs and a straightforward write up. Their website is intuitive and there is a similar quality feel to it such that our house presented well. In addition, we were given a good spread in the local property paper and a prominent position in the agent's display window.
Our property was under offer very quickly, but it took much longer to exchange and complete. Over this extended period, Terry did a first rate job of keeping all parties in the loop and chased when he needed to. He was also quick to contact both sets of solicitors as the sale progressed. There were a few occasions when I sensed he was becoming exasperated, but he never failed to maintain his self control.
The period between exchange and completion was smooth and this was simply because all parties were talking to one another and working to a mutual timetable. This was down to Michael Hardy taking the lead and if Terry was unavailable someone else would always step in to assist including Neil. Everyone in the office knew what was going on such that we never had to explain things again and this definitely made the process easier. What I particularly liked was that they never resorted to email, but always used the phone which ensured that we avoided any delays.
I would use Michael Hardy again and recommend them to anyone looking to sell or buy in the Wokingham area. They are professional and very nice people to deal with. They do what they say, follow-up promptly without having to be chased and deliver.
