I walked in to Abbots when I was in town. I met a lovely lady who was most helpful, I told her I had a 6bed 4ba house on an acre of beautiful garden in prime location that I'd like to sell. She was great she referred me to Angela, and an appointment was made, then Angela called me on the Saturday before the appointment to tell me she could no longer make that date, I told her that was inconvenient for me and wouldn't work, she didn't listen to a word I'd said and turned around and said ok so I'll go ahead and provisionally book Tuesday or Friday, with I might add an attitude. So I told her I would speak to my husband and let her know but I doubt very much he will go ahead with it. So an hour later she called me and told me another valuer called Steve would keep the original appointment as they didn't want to lose the listing. So he arrived on the day and my husband dealt with him as I was called away, hubby said he was a nice guy very positive about how they could sell the house and told my husband he would get all the details to him including their fees by that afternoon, we heard nothing, so my husband called the office on the Friday asking where it was, and Steve said oh I have it here I was going to bring it to you, hubby said we want it emailing, so he did, we had a couple of questions regarding the fees as they were more expensive than the other two agents we'd had in, and wanted to know what exactly they were going to do for those fees, to sell our home, nothing, not a word, complete and utter silence from them. I honestly have never come across such a rude company in all my life, if we ran our company like that we'd have no business. We are now going with another agent, one who actually communicates with customers and who actually cares. Abbots have lost the opportunity to list my house, and two other houses that belong to my friends on the same road, one of which is a huge house with two building plots with planning permission, I told them catagorically do not deal with Abbots.
