We have just a property from Leamans and have been given a bill £200 because a smell in the house. There was damp in the front room and the bathroom. They also fiddle the electric by poor wiring are are being investigated by British Gas. I would never rent or use this letting firm again be aware of them. They also increase rent after the first 6 months

Dear Mr Hunt,
The landlord claimed against your deposit for carpet cleaning and deodorising as the house smelt of dog which you had in the house even though from the initial viewing it was made clear that no pets were allowed. You rented a modern house which had no damp only condensation caused by lack of heating and ventilation by yourselves. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.

The rent was increased 21 months after you moved in.
