1. Multiple money mistakes
2. Problems with the guarantors
3. Changing move-in dates
4. Forced us to pay for a house a month before agreed.
5. Hobdays Fees Expensive
Hobdays will now answer their 5 points:
There was one mistake with the money not multiple and this was rectified immediately.
There was one only one problem with the guarantors that they telephoned Hobdays and were very rude to a staff member and decided that they would dictate the moving process rather than what had been agreed and signed by the tenants who initially viewed the property and agreed face to face with the landlord at the time of viewing the property.
The dates were agreed by the tenants and they signed to say that they would take the property on that agreed date with the landlord present.
No one forced them to pay as this was agreed by the tenants and the landlord informed us that if they changed their mind from the agreed date then he would not accept them and instructed Hobdays to re-market the property.
Under Advertising Standards Authority ALL agents have to display their fees and inform tenants of them before they enter into an agreement. So the tenants were aware of our fees before they took the property and due to the number of tenants we actually reduced their fees.
The tenants agreed with the move in date and conditions of the tenancy in front of the landlord and signed the forms to confirm these. Hobdays works for their landlord and these tenants were not happy because they felt that they could change the agreed date by a month, which the landlord would not allow. They then felt it right to post a poor review to get back at the agent. There are always two sides to a story.
