Avoid these agents - they will only cause grief and cost you money. Thomas George has a whole series of companies, the staff are dedicated to drumming up business for the sister companies. They fail to reply to emails in a timely manner, if ever. There is no continuity witht the staff you deal with and the staff do not communicate with each other.
I had repairs done by them at a cost that would have replaced the item eg to replace a door handle on a fridge £149. Quotation to repair drawers and turn off water for £100 and when questioned they could not provide evidence of the damage. They do not not check the condition of the apartment before the tenant moves in or out, so when a dispute went to the Tenancy Deposit Board, I lost as they did not know how to handle the documentation correctly.
They charge £120 to clean a one bed flat! They do not provide quotations - just pick figures out of the air.
They have an inability to communciate with both my the landlord and with the tenant as a result problems arise with tenants which would not arise if the communication channels were better. This has caused me significant loss.
They never apologise for anything. Every person in the organisation needs to be set on a customer service training programme to learn the basics. The problem in this area is across the board in the organisation.
Avoid them and you will avoid a lot of unnecessary hassle. I deal with other letting agents with whom I have never experience any of the problems experience with Thomas George and where the staff kept me appraised of things.
They charge less for their services.
