Agent lied about valid gas safety certificate. Was told there was one, but upon inspection it was found to be incomplete, and therefore not valid. When approached about this the agents pleaded ignorance... sorry, but it is your legal obligation to ensure these things are CORRECT.

Landlords manage the property... absolute liars... no care whatsoever for the tenants. Winter 2010/11 saw temperatures of -16c... heating was broken... took TWO WEEKS to get someone to fix it. Plumbers were available, but they waited 2 weeks to get the cheapest job done. Two weeks of the house temperature being about 5 degrees. One small electric radiator supplied by Landlord.

2011 Gas appliances left switched off due to disrepair for 7 months during the summer because "it's summer"... no interest in the LAW stating that all gas appliances must be in working order.

2011 outside septic tank not compliant with H&S regulations. Currently being investigated by Vale of White Horse Council.

Landlords Simon and Gemma Hartwright are utterly horrible people who will do nothing to improve the property unless forced by legal action.

House broken into March 2010 because of utterly woeful security arrangements... told by landlords that this was "unfortunate"... no apology, no security improvement, simply did not CARE.

Another typical Oxfordshire Landlord/Letting Agent combination - Tenants are nothing but cattle, there to be profited from. Absolutely disgusting all round.

Was told by the letting agent to stop making their job difficult by telling potential tenants the truth of my experiences there. Laughable.
What agent could do to change your mind?
told the truth. been aware of what their legal obligations are.

This tenant had all the facts incorrect, the property did have a gas certificate fully compliant with the law, but there were recommendations for works to be carried out, nothing dangerous or illegal, just recommendations. We also did not manage the property, the landlord did so we had no authority to carry out any works on the appliances on thier behalf. The landlord had the works done as necessary, and we must point out we have had many very happy tenants living in the self contained rooms of this property over the years and found the landlords to be extremely helpful when there is a problem. It's not possible to post behaviour patterns of tenants, but to say this person did not help with his manner towards people is an understatement, and we hope he has now found somewhere more accommodating to his needs.
