The customer service is poor - they pressure you into signing up to a property, and once you are in a property and have an issue/something needs fixing they are very loathe to do anything about it. Sometimes it is impossible to contact anyone at A & Y within office hours. The apartments in West Didsbury (A & Y own and let the entire building I lived in) are supposed to be "luxury" but are in fact cold, damp, noisy (there is no soundproofing at all) and the decor is dated and shabby. The apartments are fully furnished, but the furniture provided is rickety and old. Best avoided.
