In short, terrible communication, impossible to get hold of anyone*. Ultimately held my money for over a week with no communication and have left me personally in a very tricky housing situation - would not recommend!
It all seemed to going well when ** showed my housemate and I around a lovely 2 bed flat in Waterloo that was absolutely ideal for our need. As we were very keen, we put a holding deposit down on that day to ensure that we obtained the property (apparently these are only valid for 48 hours but we were never informed)
This is where the problems started as it took another 2 working days for **them to return with the offer form, which I returned within a matter of hours (I guess by now my entire deposit was invalid - thanks Atkinson Mcleod). At this point all communication from Ryan ceased and when I finally got hold of him on Monday he had unfortunately been in a small car accident and would not be in work all week. I was then told that in his absence his manager Ben would pick up his work. Ben was obviously too busy to care about **their clients so after repeatedly phoning, emailing, leaving messages with various colleagues I got through to Will. No issues with Will as he actually took the time to find out what was going on and helpfully gave me an update after having transferred £400 over a week before!
It turns out that the deposit only lasted for 48 hours and the landlord had apparently rejected the offer. Unfortunately for me, nobody thought to inform me and completely inhibited me from putting an offer on other properties due to the deposit Atkinson Mcleod still held. My worry is that Atkinson Mcleod took multiple holding deposits and simply kept me in the dark until a better offer came through for their client. In the time that anyone from Atkinson Mcleod failed to communicate with me, our potential move in date actually had actually moved forward by 3 weeks which the landlord would have undoubtedly accepted.
Don't even bother wasting your time with these guys - shocking service.
