At first impression seemed really good. Dawn was friendly and approachable, however once we were in the house things swiftly changed. The whole house is riddled with damp, when we reported it (with photos) we were told it was our fault because (and I quote) "you should have the heating on full at all times and leave all windows on their vent settings to stop the formation of cold spots" now I have a masters in environmental science and my partner is a structural engineer. At no point have either of us learnt that that is the correct way to deal with damp. Weirdly enough the majority of the mould is nowhere near any windows! We reported a few other issues were told that all issues would be looked at at our next inspection. The month our inspection was due came and went and despite numerous emails and phone calls still no one has been out, finally got a reply today and have been told it'll be another three weeks (before the inspection. No mention of when issues will be fixed). Our contract is up in two months and again I have asked numerous times about options to renew (we absolutely adore the house) my questions get ignored, that's when we even get a coherent reply. Most of the time there is no greeting on an email and its one or two words long with no sign off.
If we could have the house without bulmers life would be perfect. I had been hoping that the issues were just with Dawn as she's only part time etc but reading the other reviews it seems to be a branch wide problem. It's odd how bulmers are quick to get in touch when they are changing their bank details but not when you need anything from them.
Hopefully now Bulmers have been bought out things might improve. If I don't get any joy from Dawn I think I'll attempt a complaint to Sally, based on other reviews I may as well bang my head against the wall.
Comment on agent fees
In line with fees I have paid elsewhere (York, Plymouth, Leeds etc)
