The manager was extremely rude and arrogant. With less than 24 hours in order to provide 'qualifying documentation' to present the vendor with our offer, (over 30% above asking price), we provided all required information before the deadline, (which is difficult when one works). When I called to confirm that all details had been received, and to highlight the extended offer, he responded in an extremely unprofessional, rude and arrogant manner. However, I politely ended the 'conversation' to wait to see if we were successful with our offer. After not hearing anything by 11am, my partner called for an update. She was responded to in the same manner I was talked to. He later called later that day to inform us we were not successful as a 'the vendor decided to go with someone who was in a better position who they felt more comfortable with'. I sincerely believe our offer was not presented well, if at all. We are strong buyers, very healthy deposit, with existing property investmens. I also believe that we provided the strongest offer, both in value and security. So lessons learnt: vendors; beware of this company, you could be losing out on maximising your price. They do not act in your best interests. Buyers, if you can put up with highly unprofessional and offensive mannerisms, if you don't mind providing all your personal financial details to someone unqualified to assess them, and if you don't mind going through mortgage solutions with them, (even if you have a mortgage) organised, go for it. (By the way, this is illegal). We will continue to search in Croydon but will not take our business to Bairstow Eves. Good luck.
