The worst letting agents I have used, including the ones I used while I was at university in Leeds which are notoriously shady. They took forever in getting even the smallest issues seen to or fixed, and some issues remained unfixed for over 6 months until we decided to move out. As I write this I am still attempting to get my deposit back from them even though we got a professional clean of the property performed at the end of the tenancy. They are claiming the cleanliness of the property is not adequate, despite them providing an invoice for roughly the same amount for the clean they arranged prior to us moving in. They gave us a quote for a recommended clean which was over £1,100... Outrageous. This included getting things such as curtains steam cleaned at a cost of £400 (these were new at the start of the year and not even the slightest bit dusty). The worst part is that there were major building works arranged for the week after we moved out, which obviously meant that the house was going to be made far dustier / dirtier than it had been at the time we vacated through no fault of our own. As they insisted, we arranged to have a second clean of the property performed, but the cleaners couldn't do anything due to the dust sheets and other equipment the builders were using being left everywhere in the house! Yet they are still not returning our deposit of over £4,000.

In summary, the people at Phoenix properties are unprofessional, and more importantly unreasonable. My advice would be to keep well clear of using this awful company.
