I have never left reviews and im not likely to in the future, however on this occasion I feel this is a must to ensure no other innocent person has to go through what we, and I can only assume, other people have been through.
My partner and I paid Fenix a Holding fee of £240 (after research found to be the most expensive in the North East) for a lovely property in Newcastle.
We filled all our paperwork in and was informed by the the admin team we passed all referencing and was to move in on the following Wednesday and a time was arranged
Wednesday morning came, we were informed we had failed referencing and we weren't moving into the property, our paperwork was in an hour late!!!! What on earth!!!! Disgusting!!!! So after tears and heartache we even offered paying 6 months in advance to be told NO. They would not return our £240 after email on top of email from the manager of the company, they refused. We have failed referencing and its non refundable.
Well well well, after 2 months down the line, we have now found out the Landlord did not decline us, they called Fenix to inform them they were actually selling the property, Thieves!! Thieves!! Thieves!!!
I am now in the process of a small claims court so I just want to advise everybody and anybody, if Fenix say you have failed their referencing, question it!
