The above named company is involved in illegal practices. They sign contracts with landlords to let properties then then pass on the property to someone else (a 3rd agent) to rent without landlord's knowledge or consent. The contract they signed with me was for a guaranteed rent of £625 per month (with 8% or £50 for their service charge every month) with net income of £575 per month for myself.
In fact they rented the property through another agent without my knowledge (since august 2012) at £700 per month. They never disclosed this amount to myself and kept the extra money themselves. I have reported them (oct 2015) to the police, the property Ombudsman, the reference line, The rightmove and Zoopla. I understand there are atleast three other individuals who have received the same treatment as myself. Please be aware of Carrington Gray based in Walthamstow, E17 3NA

The agent lied. He agreed (in written contract) with me that he will rent the property for a guaranteed rent of ‚£625 per month. He will deduct 8% (‚£50) from rent for his service charge and pass on ‚£575 NET into my bank account every month.
Instead without my knowledge or consent, he handed over the property to another agent to let for ‚£700 per month. Who deducted his cut of ‚£50 for services every month and passed ‚£649.60 to my agent - Carrington Gray. Who decided to keep the extra ‚£25 they earned from increased rent and never passed this amount to myself. So the agent made ‚£75 just on fees EVERY MONTH FOR JUST OVER THREE YEARS.
