Prior to checking out the agent will come along to conduct a completely farcical pre-departure property check where they'll basically tell you everything is in good condition.

You'll probably then still spend a couple of days cleaning the property so that you can leave it in a better condition than it was when you moved in (so that you'll get your deposit back), you'll also spend ages cleaning the oven and the bathroom. But if you dare to leave a pizza tray in the oven or forget to clean the soap box on the washing machine you can expect to be charged for several hours for a cleaner to do 10 minutes work!

I am sorry you feel this way. At Move On we try to be as transparent as possible, hence we routinely come out to a property prior to them leaving to explain what will be expected. Along with this you are given a check list. Sometimes, unfortunately, we have to use the dispute service where an amicable solution cannot be resolved. The external dispute service is extremely fair and will only make a decision on factual evidence, I can assure you they do not side with any party. Regards Sharon Canning
