This agency was initially charming but they completely missold this apartment to me. I should have taken a hint when the previous tenants wouldn't allow them to show the apartment until after they'd moved out.
The week I moved in, the porter of the block informed me that scaffolding was being erected THAT WEEK for four months. I was not informed of this - the scaffolding is currently covering the front and back of the property meaning I don't have any privacy whatsoever - not even in my bathroom window.
I am paying a huge premium for this property because it overlooks Battersea Park - or is supposed to. The agents knew that was the sole reason for my wanting it - so that I could have a view, which I lacked in my previous home.
They did absolutely nothing to help me leave the apartment or find a new tenant nor were they in any way sympathetic to the increased security risk of having a scaffold outside my window with Victorian locks.
Once I'd decided to let the situation go, I then got a letter from them informing me that they were going to come and "inspect" my apartment. They gave me zero choice in this matter. I had to accept their date and (roughly estimated) time and that was that. They kindly said in their letter that I could arrange for someone to be there, if I would like. But since they had the keys, they would just let themselves in anyway. Charming.
I will never EVER rent from this company again and will recommend to all my friends that they run far and fast.
What agent could do to change your mind?
They agent will never be able to redeem themselves in my eyes or my family's. They're impolite, inefficient, unsympathetic, disorganised and crooked.

I am really sorry to read your feedback. As we've previously informed you (and your parents), we were not made aware of these works by the landlord or the block management company (that manage the communal parts/building exterior) about the scaffolding. Unfortunately, we have absolutely no control over their actions or when these works are carried out and if we had been notified, we would absolutely have informed you, as it's not in our interest to have unhappy tenants.
Regarding the inspection – the property itself (not the building) is fully managed by us, and as part of the service provided, we carry out inspections. The first of which is always conducted within the first quarter of a tenancy. I hope you understand.
Once again, I'm sorry the experience has left you feeling dissatisfied with Marsh & Parsons, but we do wish you all the best with future tenancies.
