First of all, if there was rating worse than terrible then that of what I would of chosen and I think they will still get 1 star (which is the lowest rating) but if no stars was an option then that is what I would choose.
After paying £300 admin as a single person moving in to a one bedroom I would of expected nothing short of a phenomenal service but as I expected I experienced the exact opposite of this. Prior to moving in I rang Blundells with several queries, is Sky TV available in the premises, how can I arrange to have internet ready for when I move in, what kind of parking is available at the property, I also requested some cleaning to be carried out within the property prior to me moving in as when I viewed it, it was not in a satisfactory state ready for my arrival. Blundells didn't deal with absolutely any of these requests, they had no answers for my queries and made absolutely no attempt to find any answers for me and were of no help or assistance whatsoever. Also upon my arrival the cleaning that I had been promised was going to be carried out of course was not. It was clear that after they had charged their extortionate £300 their job was done as soon as I'd keyed in my pin number on their payment machine.
Upon leaving my flat it took them 4 weeks to arrange for my deposit to be refunded even though they themselves had stated that I left the flat in immaculate condition. It then took a further 7 working days to enter my account and as I'm sure people can appreciate, I desperately needed the £650 deposit back in order to move into another flat. Upon finding a new flat I then needed a reference from Blundells which I stupidly thought would be free of charge as it can't possibly take more than about 30 seconds to complete. Unsurprisingly I was wrong and Blundells charged me £24 to complete this reference and they then advised that for this extortionate fee they would not be completing the reference immediately but they would do it within 48 hours which in itself is nothing short of a disgrace. However a week later it was brought to my attention that Blundells had not completed the reference. I called them and they advised that the request had not been sent through to their referencing department. As you could imagine I wasn't best pleased with this and I requested my money back and that the reference be completed immediately. I was then told that I would need to contact the branch I dealt with during my letting term to get the refund and that they couldn't get the reference done immediately but it would be done within another 48 hours. I then called the branch I originally dealt with and requested my money back that I had paid for the reference and also that the reference would be completed immediately. After this appalling customer service I thought they would do everything the could to appease me and put things right, I thought wrong. I was advised that they could not refund my money AND get the reference done immediately but that I had to choose one or the other. I didn't have time to argue any further so I chose the option of having my money back. I am still waiting for this and for the reference to be completed. * An absolutely disgusting company that will take you for all your worth at the drop of a hat.
