ELS, where should i start. . . BEWARE!! If your in for a tale listen to this. we had mice, the beds were broken, as was the sofa, and the fridge, we were warned not to use the cooker as it was a fire hazard a faulty socket blew our microwave and 2 toasters, we only had a yale lock, bugs nest, food encrusted on the walls, a blocked sink, an Electricuted mouse in our kitchen, faulty electrics, faulty plumbing and DANGEROUS MOULD growing next to my bed from rising damp. I slipped several times after they never replaced the shower door. There was someone living in the flat when we moved in, we were told the flat was hmo, but wasnt. this man stayed, we didnt mind, he was nice enough and payed rent, ELS knew about him. Then when the council got involved claimed they didn't know about him. The council said it wasn't fit for basic human standards. When I went to the office to tell them the faults and ask for an inventory or to sign the photos I took of the state of the flat so as we could claim our deposit back his exact words were 'I will not be dictated to by someone like you' and 'I hate it when they bring photos' now I know I'm no model but I didn't exactly go in with a heroin needle in my arm! He was an arrogant snob and whats worse? I paid him to sit in that leather chair and insult me.
Now heres the kicker folks. The man who owns this building is worth millions. He happens to own a lot and quite possibley ALL of ELS property. You know what else he owns? A cleaning company.
I've kissed goodbye any hope of getting my deposit back. Thats a grand by the way. Don't do it!
