In the three and a half years I rented using Jacobs Steel, I found their customer service terrible. They always seemed unwilling to communicate and, when they did, constantly gave contradictory information. Unsurprisingly, when we did eventually leave them we did not receive our deposit back, and many of the reasons for their retaining it were entirely unjust – for instance, they stated that we had installed wiring for a doorbell, which had actually been fitted by the landlord. There are many other similar examples. However, I was just pleased to escape them and to never have to deal with them again. I would not recommend Jacobs Steel Lettings.
