I have been in a property managed by Littlejohns for a number of years now, and it has been a terrible experience. When dealing with them they are usually rude, and it takes ages for them to get anything done. When we moved into the property it was not even clean, basic stuff like ensuring clean carpets was not done, crumbs all over the kitchen and with huge holes in the kitchen cupboards. Despite saying they would get a cleaner to come around this never happened. Repairs wise - it is always a lengthy and difficult process. When a washing machine broke, it took over two weeks for it to get repaired, so I had no other option than to wash clothes by hand. Many issues were never resolved, despite numerous emails we were simply told they did not want to fund repairs. When renewing the lease, they wanted us to sign a separate contract obliging us to give 6 months notice if we wanted to leave, instead of the usual two. Later a Council officer told me this was probably illegal.
Despite no investment into the property since I have lived here, the rent is still increased significantly every year.
Overall very very poor experience and would advice to stay well away.

I found a huge amount of black mould and when I inquired about it they told me to clean it myself. That should say enough.

Any time we had an issue with the flat, it had been sorted the same day or latest next day. Our agent was really patient and helful, the full deposit was refund in less than a week after we have moved out.

They charged me 4 hours of cleaning on check out to clean dust in the baseboard and the back of the toilet...
Make sure you make they go to court in any disput for the deposity don't trust the adjudication process from safedeposits......

They look to charge you for tenancy agreements (most charges can be dropped if you look into them). They will also charge you for ridiculous reasons on check out

I found out that they have been entering my rented flat without my knowledge. Their excuse is that they sent me an email, I must not have gotten it.
