We have been renting a property for 18 months with them although we have never had much contact as we deal with the landlord directly.
They were extremely helpful when we first moved in and we were paying the applictaion fee and deposit.
We then did not have any contact with them for the rest of the tenancy until we put in our notice,
They are now making us pay an extra months rent because we gave or notice on a rent due day and decided they did not need to give us 24 hours notice (as stated in the contract) for people to view the property as we were apparently 'Flexible'!!??
They also felt we did not need to know when appointments had been cancelled.
When we asked for advise on paying the extra rent as we had given verbal notice and they had been advertising the house for 2 days before we officially gave our notice in, we were advised that they are there for the landlord and not the tenant and if we were not renting through them they would be able to advise us of the best possible action.
They took two weeks to put any pictures up of the property which has obviously resulted in the house not beeing re let and us now paying an extra months rent!
