I have had various issues with PML throughout my 1.5 year stay in one of their properties, but the worst and most impactful has been now that I have left, getting, not only my deposit, but the rent I paid back. I automatically pay rent on the 8th of each month, and moved out on the 11th, so there is basically 3 days shy of an entire months rent they have of mine. I chased and was told over a week ago it would be in my account that evening.. it wasn't. Chased again the beginning of this week where I was told it would be there within a few days - still nothing. It is to the point where I am c.‚£650 out of pocket and need to pay my new rent, but am waiting for my own money from PML.
I have not even begin to challenge for my deposit yet (which I have been told will take 4-6 weeks, why it is this long is beyond me!?).
I would definitely re-consider using PML in the future, it does feel very much like a backyard cowboy company, where the customer is the least of their worries.
What agent could do to change your mind?
-Been more clear about when moneys owed would be paid (and actually stick to this)
-Not allow someone with a mental illness who threatens others lives to live in one of their flat shares
