First contact with Taylors was really good, they then found a rental property which we liked so decided to proceed with. Their service level started to detiororate when we were given 10-15 minutes on the day we were moving to go through a 17 page agreement and sign agreeing to all of the sections within. As we had a removal company waiting we rushed through not reading every page. Shortly after moving in and speaking to our electricity/gas supplier to chase up the transfer, we were advised by them that a different supplier had blocked them from taking over. Taylors had instructed Spark Energy to supply both our gas and electric approx a week before we had even signed the agreement with them. And yes, they do get a commission for referring all of their tenants! It took us around 2 months to get out of this agreement and back with our preferred supplier. Spark have inflated prices and an inferior customer service centre to any I've ever dealt with!

We paid 6 months upfront due to our referencing and being in probation periods in our jobs, we were advised by Adam & Chloe that this would change to a monthly tenancy agreement in month 7, low and behold, 4 months in and we get a letter from Countrywide saying that the landlord would like to offer a further 6 months with payment upfront again and a fee of £125 to draw up a new contract, this fee was not advised at first point of contact.. We clearly do not have this kind of money available so we said no but will happily pay monthly.

Our horrendous landlord has now decided to serve us 2 months notice which will probably make my wife and I and our 4 & 8 year old boys homeless.

To anybody thinking of using Taylors/Countrywide, please think twice as they really do not give a shit about their customers. Once they have got your money, your pretty much history as they ignore emails, they don't return phone calls.

I have heard nothing but bad things about these guys. Very rude to there tenants and really don't care only interested in your money
