We were looking at renting a flat in the Barbican, we had several viewing with Frank Harris' property agent Robert Sayers and finally liked one and decided to make an offer.

Obviously Frank Harris is working on behalf of the landlords but does not even bother contacting them to let them know about our offers but just say no to us. Back to zero, we had other visits and agreed to rent another one without any negotiation possible.

We are contractor and even with a 6 months contact earning ‚£500/day we could have pay the year rent in a month of work, anyway, Frank Harris was reticent regarding our application and asked us to provide guarantors, which we did but wasn't enough. So we offered to pay the 6 months in advance but they wanted us to pay for reference every 6 months and pay 6 months in advance every time... Their secretary Alison Petrou made a mistake by replying to the email with us but was intended to her colleague which I quote word for word: A waste of time these two !!!! what do they think is going to happen after six months?. So unprofessional and mean.

THEY are a waste of time, stay away from them! They are not even friendly...

After that we dealt with Hamilton Brooks which is just down the road from them and are much more understandable and nice. They work with the tenant and landlord to find an agreement to keep both part happy.
Comment on agent fees
They charged us with reference fee even though they wouldn't deal with us anymore.

Not very professional, they are not very helpful and don'tseem to care about anything - basically really bad attitude. Most people in the office are the same. Obviously not a dealbreaker but makes the whole experience a lot more negative when you are being really ...
