The staff at Renaissance Property Management are not very professional; each member tells us something different to the others and has no idea what his/her colleagues have said or done, none of the staff respond to communications promptly (mostly they don't respond at all!), they are unfriendly and inefficient and sometimes downright rude. Verbal agreements are rarely honoured, and empty promises are made that cannot be fulfilled. Some business days there are no staff at the office at all, and no calls are answered.

During our year renting a Renaissance property we have had the following issues with the agency:
- The toilet was blocked with a large piece of ceramic from the bathroom installation prior to our tenancy. It took us five phone calls and almost a week before the agency finally sent someone to fix it, during which time we were forced to use the bathroom facilities of a neighbour.
- The carpet was extremely old and stained when we moved in, but we decided we would just shampoo it ourselves rather than reject the property. When Renaissance inspected the property after we cleaned it, they denied the original state of the carpet and accused us of ruining it. They have since billed us for a ridiculous amount of money.
- We discovered that the health and safety standards were not being met. When we moved in, the only smoke alarm in the property was old and broken, which we were originally unaware of. If there had been a fire during that time we would have had no warning. There were no extractor fans in either the kitchen or the bathroom, and the non-double-glazed windows were growing black mould around the frames. The outer roof was broken and a large sheet of asbestos was hanging precariously from it, heavy enough to have killed someone if it had fallen.
- We have recently ended our tenancy with Renaissance, and the agency are refusing to return our deposit, on illegal and untruthful grounds. Also, we had agreed with them previously that if we left the property early we would receive a partial rent refund. They are now denying that they said any such thing. When we wrote to them with valid reasons why we are entitled to our deposit and rent refund, they replied with very offensive emails, in which they lied, denied the verbal agreements made, and said that they were keeping our money and two of our household appliances.

I have never dealt with such an unprofessional and aggressive agency in my life. Be very careful if you are thinking of letting a property from Renaissance Property Management.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Even if Renaissance were to return the deposit and the rent refund that they owe me, I would still refuse to ever do business with them again, and I will warn everyone else to do the same.

This review is made by an agrrieved ex-tenant who is not using their real name nor telling the truth. The price we have to pay for being a visible, highly accredited agent I guess.

Agents do not reposnd to phone calls and messages are not passed on to the relevent people, getting work done takes many a phone call of witch most does not get done anyway leaving propertys not secure and violating health and safety. You are told ...

What agent could do to change your mind?
Discounted for propertys that need serious work inside, checking propertys are not going to leave tennants stuck in rental hell and workers who pass of messages and get work done.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Agent staff were very rude and slammed the phone down several times. I arranged a meeting they took notes then ignored all my phone calls after. 1. MY MODERN HOUSE DAMAGED AND LEFT FILTHY. 2. DID NOT PAY DEPOSIT BACK TO US TO COVER DAMAGE EVEN WITH VIDEO AND PHOTO EVIDENCE - THEY DID NOT EVEN COME OVER TO LOOK FOR THEM SELF - THEY DID NOT DO A CHECK OUT DO BREACHED THE AGREEMENT 3. TENANT WAS WAS CONDUCTING A ADULT PROSTITUTION BUSINESS FROM THE PROPERTY. 4. CONDOM (USED) AND CHICKEN BONES FOUND UNDER THE BED!!! 5. CARPET NEVER CLEANED IN 2 YEARS NOR THE REST OF THE HOUSE. 6. WATER DAMAGE FROM BATHROOM INTO LOUNGE 7. SUPPOSED TO ME 1 ADULT AND 1 CHILD ONLY IN PROPERTY. THERE WERE MIN 4-5 PEOPLE LIVING THERE. 8. RUDE AND INSULTING SERVICE. 9. MANAGER AND STAFF MADE 101 EXCUSES AND HAD NO INTENTION TO PAY THE HOLDING DEPOSIT 10. THIS IS A COMPANY YOU SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM - A LOST 3 MONTHS RENTAL INCOME AND THE COST OF DAMAGES - THE STRESS CAUSED WAS COST FREE THOUGH
