EXTREMELY bad experience, from a bunch of speak-easy crooks. After making our first payments, verified by our bank, we could not get hold of the agent who did not reurn our calls, and therefore could not collect the keys, so we had to move in several days later than the lease date. Though we had been told by MR the flat was cleaned, it was filthy, disgusting and uninhabitable. The landlord was very helpful and also upgraded the kitchen, bathroom and hallway after we moved in (though this was of course messy and inconvenient for us). Then we got a nasty note saying our first month's rent payment had not been made, which upon investigation, was due to a diference of some cents in the amount, therefore the MR computer threw it out. Though we got apologies from MR about this, every month since the same thing happened - nasty emails. Now we have left on the day the lease expired, 24 Sept. but before we left we got the landlord and a MR agent to view the condition of the flat in our presence. The landlord said he was satisfied with the condition, but GUESS what? We still have not got our deposit of £1,500 back. They are now in breech of the contract.
If you MUST deal with this shoddy dishonest company, do everything by letter, special delivery, and expect lies and incompetence from beginning to end. However, better by far not to deal with them.
