This company is the awful as evidenced by the following: The flat in Cheltenham was supposed to be professionally cleaned before we moved in but it wasn't. There were crumbs and dust and it was just icky. They never did clean it as they were supposed to. We had numerous problems with them throughout our tenancy though the largest was definitely the stove. We had a stove for a few months that was making our carbon monoxide alarm go off and they refused to replace it until we were forced to have a lawyer write to them as it was a SAFETY HAZARD. Justin Lawrence, the guy that owns this company supposedly, refused to talk with me on the phone after this and would only speak with my husband! Imagine being upset because you go to bed and don't know if you will wake up in the morning due to carbon monoxide poisoning! I think I had a right to be angry! Especially after he told us he just thought we were trying to get a new stove! Really?! The front of the building locks were impossible to open and they refused to replace that so we had to leave it open! Just let the burglars come right in! The sink had a wretched smell and they did nothing of this. The tiny fridge died (and took all of our food with it) and they grudgingly replaced that with a some how smaller fridge- like one you would keep a couple sodas in your garage or under your tiny desk at work- it was all scratched and scuffed up like it was dropped off on the freeway on the way to the apartment and the landlord didn't say a word to us- too below him I presume- as he dragged it across the floor leaving marks and refusing our help (though tiny it was). Of course after the stove scenario when they replaced it finally three months later with a stove that looked like it got picked out of a dust storm from the far end of a junk yard covered in a layer of dirt- I was not suprised and didn't care because we only had a few months left!! Then we were moving out our last month and had already paid them that months rent but needed to move and they tried to tell us we could not (even though they had all their money and we weren't asking to have it back just needed to move because that is when we had the help). Then they tried to schedule showings without giving us 24 hours notice. We cleaned the place spotless more then we moved in and they tried to keep our deposit. After a couple lengthy conversations and threats of legal action they finally released the deposit- minus some little fee they keep for themselves. Because they do such a fabulous job!/end sarcasm. Be careful if you are student and know what you are signing- that is just general advice. By the way they do like quarterly or bi-annual home visits- being from USA I have NEVER heard of anything like this- unless you are on some government funded program! Talk about unnecessary invasion of privacy! And what exactly are they trained in to assess your home? Puh-lease. Just don't.
What agent could do to change your mind?
You have ridiculous fees and you know it. Your service is horrendous. Have you heard of the term "slum lord"?
