I could write a book about what is wrong with this agency but I want to keep it brief and emphasize those few attributes of theirs and experiences with them of which if I had known, I would never have spoken to them, let alone rent from them.
Sam Singh (director) and Poppy Vig (accounts manager) are very rude, totally disinterested in anything you have to say, always interrupt you, shout with you and as soon as you have paid your holding deposit, you are no longer treated as their customer, rather the other way around.
When you go to their office to sign the papers and get the keys, be prepared that you may have to sit their for nearly an hour and wait while Sam Singh holds a meeting with his staff, right in front of your nose, which involves a lot of shouting and interrupting each other.
If you rent a property that is managed by them and god forbid you have a problem, forget about it. You can write as many emails as you like or make as many phone calls as you can, nothing will happen, you'll just be ignored or given some lame excuse, some of which is an outright insult, as you're both full aware that it's a lie.
Also be prepared to move into a flat that is not cleaned. You could find the fridge dirty, shelf broken, wash machine smelly like zoo, and of course you'll be charged £60 at the end of tenancy deducted form your deposit for a professional cleaner.
Make sure you check all receipts cos you might find you are given a receipt for an amount less the you are charged for.
Be advised that they charge you £30 per person for giving references about you at the end of tenancy to your next landlord/agent.
I could go on but I think you have read enough.
All the above are my experiences with them.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Apart from the normal fees there was one that we weren't told about before signing the contract nor was it written in the contract. Namely that when you move out and the landlord or the agency at your next rental property requires references then this will only be given at ‚£30 per person charge. Can you imagine yourself when you have paid holding deposit at your next place and you have got two weeks left before move and you're told to pay ‚£60 otherwise you can forget about references and you can't move? This is blackmailing!
