It is important to note that the 'Excellent' rating supplied refers only to the work of Harvir Bhandal, and not to my experience of Glenmead Property Management as a whole.
When we first moved into the flat in which we currently reside, it was still a building site. Due to an overzealous Letting Agent we had been allowed to view the flat in the middle of it being refurbished following its previous tenancy. We moved in before the refurbishment work was done, and were forced to live for the first few months of our tenancy with an itinerant odd-job man hired directly by our landlord (NOT Glenmead) popping in and out at random to finish whatever jobs he had not yet finished (including but not limited to cladding an entire wall in pine, finishing the installing of the bathroom fixtures and replacing several locks throughout the property). The cooker was shot, as was the fridge. After much argument with the landlord via Glenmead, we managed to get both replaced.
All of this is before the work of Mr Bhandal, however. I am simply trying to illustrate the state of the flat when we took residence. Due to the rather slipshod work of the odd-job man our landlord had hired, many things have needed replacing/fixing during our tenancy. For these, we report directly to Mr Bhandal. These have included: three gas leaks (one extant when we moved in, one created by incorrect installation of the new cooker, one created by reattaching the gas after mending the previous two leaks), replacing the washing machine (which Mr Bhandal had to personally sort a plumber for after Curry's shirked the installation of the new unit. This was handled with remarkable speed by Mr Bhandal), fixing a hot water tap (we had a plumber at the flat the day after this was reported), five different boiler service visits (handled by a variety of different workmen, but all immediately necessary work handled within 48 hours of report), mending a windowsill (the only piece of work that took considerable time. This was not reported directly to Mr Bhandal, but was reported during our quarterly flat inspection, as soon as Mr Bhandal was made aware of the problem, it was handled within 48 hours) a cracked window and several bouts of mice.
Throughout this not inconsiderable amount of work and time, we have developed a comfortable and friendly working relationship with Mr Bhandal. Though he must, by this time, dread what bit of work we will call for next, he has always been exceedingly polite and understanding when we have phoned. He has taken it upon himself to follow up with us after servicing to ensure the quality of the work and our satisfaction with the process. He has called to ensure that the boiler and thermostats are working when the weather has been cold, to ensure that we are safe and warm during the winter months. In all, he has shown a genuine interest in both the quality of the work that he procures for us and our satisfaction with our tenancy. He has provided a truly excellent standard of care and service. He has gone above and beyond on several occasions and we thank him heartily for both his sterling work and his kindness.
Comment on agent fees
We were charged truly extortionate fees when moving in, but paid them only because we felt we would lose the flat if we refused.

Thank you for taking the time to praise Harvir for his hard work although I'm disappointed you appear not to be as happy with Glenmead overall. In our defence, you have said that the delays and poor workmanship were the result of the Landlord's odd job man and not a Glenmead subcontractor although I appreciate this would still have been extremely frustrating. Regrettably we are restricted by our clients' instructions so if they chose to instruct their own builder/handyman, then much as we would like to, we have no authority to countermand them. With regard to one of our letting agents allowing you to view the property whilst it was being refurbished, it is pretty widely reported that there is a significant shortage of rental property in the marketplace. If we had waited until the property was finished in order to show it to you, the chances are it would have been snapped up elsewhere so it's always a judgement call for us as agents and you as a tenant. Nevertheless I certainly regret any inconvenience you have experienced and hope you can now enjoy the rest of your tenancy without needing to be in too much contact with Harvir.
