I was shown this property 1.5months prior to my engagement with this Estate Agent by Foxtons and ended up putting an offer which was not accepted by the buyer. 1 month later the property came back onto the market as the previous buyer had not been able to secure the funds for the purchase and Fatma at Stadium Residential gave me a call to notify me of this property which I explained to her I had viewed through Foxtons already and was very interested in as a serious buyer.
After the weekend viewing, I was called by Nigel Richards, who ironically also the person listed on their website for complaints, who was very abrupt with a slightly accusatory tone, stated that they had sole agent for the property and he understands that I had viewed the property and put an offer through via Foxtons and demanded the name of the agent who showed me the property last time round. For obvious reasons I did not want to get involved and explained that I feel uncomfortable with giving him the name and did not want to get involved and he retorted that "it was too late for that as you already are!". I was in a good mind to hang up but because I was serious about putting an offer down on the property decided to just give him the name and let him battle out the sole-agent agreement between Foxtons and themselves.
For this reason, had the vendor/seller not have picked only this Estate Agent, I would have NEVER work with them in my life again.
What agent could do to change your mind?
By not calling customers with such an awful accusatory tone due to some estate agent to estate agent disagreement.
