River Homes are simply the best estate agents in the area.
I had quotes from two much larger very well known estate agents as well who gave similar quotes.
I chose River Homes because I object to the hard sell promises, head-shaking and chin-scratching of their competitors.
At a certain level, buyers DO NOT get the wool pulled over their eyes with this behaviour and will run a mile.
River Homes staff were hard working, professional and informative at all times without the pushiness.
They exhibited the necessary up-beat charisma with all of the viewings (of which they managed to secure many) and were well dressed whilst maintaining a calm demeanour.
They are also contactable, will have someone in the office all the time and will focus on your property 24/7. This simply isn`t the case with some others in my experience.
I found they also had the ability to be firm when necessary and explain current conditions in the market without all the bull.
All of these attributes create the correct platform to manage a client`s expectations and negotiate...on both sides.
On many occasions they went out of their way to act quickly, contact solicitors and surveyors to help the chain move forward. In particular I would like to thank Sue Day for the majority of the sometimes complex negotiations though the rest of the team were excellent. I have dealt with other estate agents before who took their eyes off the ball in this respect and as a result 4 sales fell through on other properties.
And remember, they are situated on Thames road, so they know the area the best geographically and are much better informed of what is happening and how the area is changing.
They sold my house at a very uncertain time in the market. I have no doubt that had I decided to go for the hard sell tactics of their competitors it would still remain on the market.
