After my mother in law died her house had to be sold. We contacted several agents, one of which was Barons. I chose Barons to sell the house as I instantly liked Matthew. He seemed a genuinely nice guy and he did not use the normal selling techniques used by other agents. I cannot stand sales patter.
He kept to his word and the contract between us was in the post within a matter of hours.
As my husband and I lived in Wales we couldn't show prospective buyers around the house. Barons did them all. I think there were about 13 viewings in all. Also Matthew went out of his way to assist us with other inquiries relating to the house. Reading the gas meter for us and getting a garage clearance company in to give us a quote. Nothing was too much trouble. He always kept us updated after viewings in a timely manner. When the house had a buyer he kept us informed as to what was going on with his buyers solicitors etc and mediated for us.
Barons have been in Basingstoke for many years and I used them about 30 years ago when I bought my very first house. Obviously Matthew wasn't employed there then, but the company service has remained very high.
I would not hesitate in using them again or referring them on to anyone else. Their customer service was second to none. I was very very impressed.
Comment on agent fees
Competitive fees and for the additional service we got from them, real value for money.
