I am a tenant in Alexandra tower, mainly rented out to students, the only reason I fell for the place was the view. From first day I started dealing with them, starting with the viewing which is scheduled for 4 or 5 viewers at a time I didn't mind that, they were always in a hurry during the viewing, later I knew why, the very bad sewage system especially in apartments on the left side of the building, there was a bad smell in the toilet the even highlighted by the lady showing as around saying its because, the toiled hasn't been used for weeks. Later on when I moved into the apartment with the GOOD View I knew from the residents in the same side that there is a (funny smell) coming from this side of toilets. I contacted the agency sent the contractors, said same things and said that it doesn't matter much. Later on couple of weeks ago my bed room wall good discoloured and I saw mould when I googled it what alerted me was the health problems associated with. When I emailed them as usual they did consider that an emergency after highlighting the negative impact of that on health or even called to check on my situation bearing in mind that the apartment next to me wall to wall was completely destroyed a while before it started affecting my room and no body bothered to check on the near by likely affected flat.Since I started dealing with them they were talking to me as a student sort of hushing me down in a very unprofessional tune as if I am asking for favors, later I realized this typical of student let agent (they just don't care) (as described by my boss at work) or or from my own experience like hospital accommodation staff , bearing in mind in hospital accommodations all bills include.While I am a professional not really used to this bossy tone things however, got slightly better when I highlighted that and to be fair they sort of started to listen.even a friend who accompanied me to the viewing told me how unprofessional was the way things tackled.
But bearing in mind the situation of the sewage system in alexandra tower and after flagging the danger of this problem on the health of the residents including me (having chest problems and persisted coughing ) and the way the whole problem been handled just a pasting no radical solution to this problem , I am thinking of reporting it to the health authorities.

It has come as quite a shock to us to receive this maintenance problem on a review site. We are not block managers for this development and therefore cannot comment on some of the issues raised in the above, however we can confirm a contractor has informed us that a leak has occurred. We are not prepared to discuss this maintenance issue any further on a review site. As a company we welcome feedback whether it is good, bad or indifferent in order to grow and improve however, maintenance issues are best dealt with through the proper channels in order for them to be resolved efficiently.
