Sweet Property Services were instructed to only find us tenants for a fee, as we have our own credit control dept. to collect rents. They took a years rent in advance from one tenant and refused to pass it over to us. For the last6 months we have been chasing them and can never get hold of Richard Sweet. This has resulted in our tenant having being extremely stressed and leaving the property and demanding the balance of the years rent paid returned to her. We could see that the tenant was very stressed, as we said we did not have her rent and was being held by Sweets, as a responsible Landlord, we paid her what would have been the balance of her rent and applied much pressure to Sweet to return the monies. The first cheque they returned to us was "stopped" which I feel was a delaying tactic. I have reported the behaviour of Sweet Property Services and Richard Sweet in particular to Kent Police, as we will not let this matter go. Statements have been made to the relevant authorities.
We will now be investigating the rent deposits that Sweets Hold on behalf of our tenants.
WE WILL NOT BE USING THE SERVICES OF SWEETS AGAIN.
