Me and my sister rented a property with them. All dealings were done online, having to print out our own paperwork to take into store to sign. Our check in was done before we entered property so many problems were overlooked. our front door lock didnt work properly, our hot water didnt work, the washing machine was not in working order. and when we phoned to complain were just told we were doing something wrong and try again. After a month of no hot water we complained to head office and finally got hot water. then after that we had an inspection, and increased inspections over the year, even though inspections were 6monthly.
towards the end of the year the front door broke completely, we rung satchells they said they would contact the landlord about the matter. a few days later they rung to say the land lord cant afford it and will sell up!
we then had to deal with constant hassle and harrassment over viewing times even though we provided them with a schedule of our availability to make things easier, this was ignored with them sending prospective buyers when they liked and constantly calling to try and arrange viewings outside of our times.
Eventually someone purchased the house and agreed to keep us on as tenants.
But awile later we returned from a holiday to say our tenancy will end at a stated time, we assumed this was with the old landlord so rang to see what happens from here. We were then informed that we were not being kept on and should have recieved a phone call to go with the letter, which we did not. because of their lack of notice that gave as only a month ans 2weeks to find a suitable property. so we sought legal advice and subsequently found out that by law satchells shjould have provided us with the certificates for our deposit protection and sent us details of that when we moved in. which they did not. thus making our notice vaild. when we told satchells this they then proceeded to tell us we were stalling to saty in the property and then sent us the certificates. they basically argued with us over email, very rudely and unproffesionally. we then had no contact til they sent an email telling us to book out at a stated time we didnt agree to.... before we had a chance to discuss this after work, one of their agents pam knocked on our door, handed us a letter and said we had been booked out for 2pm. We simply stated we will be at work and that their notice is invalid. to which Pam then said that 'hasnt been proved' she then proceeded to call us disgusting people, they should never have let in the property, yelling good luck getting a reference from us. this happened infront of our family who were round for dinner. we immediately called stachells to complain to manager to be told manager is not in. we informed them of what happened and they said simon would call us back the next day. he did not.
a few days later, he emailed to say he had heard we had a heated discussion with Pam and can we state when we can book out for. we booked for a convenient time for us and that we would like to make a complaint, this was ignored. As have all our other attempts to complain about the e=service we recieved.
Now that we have moved we have tried to contact satchells about post at our old address only to be ignored for almost a month, finally they replied today, rudely just saying there is no post at the address. we have still heard nothing about our deposit, which should be a done deal seeing as we fixed up the property from the awful condition it was in originally.
Satchells have got to be the worst agents i have ever dealt with, the sad thing is that their prices are so cheap, they seem to be dealing with alot of the property market which made it hard for us to try and move, as most suitable properties were managed by them and they offered us absolutly no assistance in moving and no doubt probably would not rent to us again because we know our rights.

nothing, the service the offer is minimal and unproffesional
