Before we RTM'd our block our Peverel OM property manager was too over-worked or too busy generating fees, and did not deal properly with or pursue under insurance a massive water leak which cost us over £15,000. Under pressure to explain inaction and facing pressure from a Tribunal she was replaced by her Area Manager, E D.

E D told Tribunal about what Kingsborough "do" to earn up to 33% commission on a £3,500pa insurance policy (which we replaced with one for £1,500pa), held owners and the new manager to ransom over the transfer of funds, spent a small fortune prior to handover making good a range of issues which owners had already been charged for, while gardeners and cleaners took a holiday. A visit from Peverel's own contractor Cirrus resulted in a £485 quote to change a £10 light bulb, their sub-contractor installed two emergency smoke vents upside down and refused to fix without a further payment, etc.

After an investigation by owners and the account auditors it was shown that previous estate charges were 30% in error, and E D was forced to concede refunds to all owners which were not admitted in Tribunal. But charges continue to be made which do not reflect the reasonable cost of the estate.

A new property manager M L is now in charge of the estate, has visited twice and both times filed a report saying things were "excellent" - the second time he stood with his back to all the problems to take a picture showing a small section of hedge had been trimmed.
