I'll keep it repetitively brief. When I first came across Walton and Hipkiss they seemed a great local choice, their website had some relatively advanced features that their competitors didn't have which allowed you to keep track of how many people viewed your property and the like. This feature work for a very short amount of time. I can only assume it stopped working because staff stopped inputting the data.

As well as using the website to check on the progress intermittently I would receive phone calls to be updated. Those stopped after a while too. When I did phone to check up the person on the end of the phone couldn't answer my questions and said I'd receive a call back from an agent, no call came. This happened more times than I can remember.

After doing some research I found they had only advertised my property once in a local newspaper and listed it on two website property directories. I received only 2 offers in a 4 month period. So I hired a second local estate agent (Dixons), two days later the house was viewed by a family who had tried to view the property through Walton and Hipkiss but had never received any phone calls back or received any information. Disgusted with the service I terminated the contract with Walton and Hipkiss.

I cannot understand why an estate agent would treat its customers this way, especially when in selling your property they get paid. I can only imagine they try to sell on mass so they receive the commissions, they don't care what price you get for your house or whether it sells quickly. They certainly don't try too hard to sell it at the price you want.
