We considered three housing agents in 2013 when planning to let our family home while we were on an overseas contract, and Ryder & Dutton stood out a mile. Our initial contact was with Sarah Plastsman, but since the house went on the rental market, we have dealt with Alexandra Davies and Michelle Silvester. We have been impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail of both of these ladies, responding promptly to both e-mails and phone calls, with comprehensive information to guide us in our first experience of house rentals. We feel we have left our home in very safe hands while abroad, and despite the distance of several thousand miles, know that Alexandra and Michelle are just a phone call or an e-mail away. Mention must also be made of the team at Springhead in Oldham and the ladies we have dealt with there - Pat Gillian and Jacqueline Senior, who we have also found to be very helpful, in resolving a number of minor issues.
Comment on agent fees
I understand that the 10% + VAT charged is standard for house rentals, and I would rather put our home in the hands of experienced agents, than try to negotiate the minefield of house rentals myself.
