There was a gas leak in the morning, I informed the contact before I left for work.
I was then disturbed at work when the engineer wanted to let him in (after I had explained I would be at work).
When I got home from work the alarm was still ringing and the house still stunk of gas. I rang them again and was told that the leak was in my flat. The leak was in a different flat and not my own. I had to contact the different property company to be told it had been signed off as 'safe'. So I ventilated the house to remove the rest of the gas.
An alarm was still sounding so I rang John Mortimer and asked them to get someone to switch it off - only to be told they would npt be able to do so until the following morning. So I would have to sleep with a ringing alarm all night.
After repeatedly calling them I had to eventually demand the number of the engineering contractor, then facetime him so he could walk me through turning it off.
Two words: completely useless.

Once again no address, however we have been able to trace this issue and it was a gas hob left on in a flat. While the writer may complain about the inconvenience of being asked to give access to the gas contractor, the only way to find the source of the leak is to gain access to each flat. Once the gas leak was discovered the alarm would continue until the gas had been disbursed.. this takes time and is a matter of health and safety.

AVOID WHENEVER POSSIBLE.
We have had so many issues for such a long period of time and they only do the minimum always blaming contractors. Overgrown trees touching properties, uncut grass for months, overgrown bushes... they do nothing apart from charging ££. They are very good ...
