I am currently looking to rent a two bedroom place in the SW13 area. I've visited most of the estate agents in the area and went to Boileau's for a second time today.
On the first visit, we were walking down to see a flat that was available when I mentioned that we have a dog. The agent, completely disregarded us from that point on, turned around and walked back to the agency. I appreciated her honesty. I don't want to waste anyone's time. I thought she could have been a little more gracious about it as she basically implied that my dog was probably vermine.
This morning I had seen another suitable flat online, so I popped in to the agency again. Same lady. I asked about the new 2 bed that they are advertising and if a dog would be acceptable. Again, the disregard swept across her face and she said, 'No the flat won't have dogs because it's on the second floor.' So I said, 'What has the floor level got to do with whether dogs are accepted?' She didn't have an answer to that, so just repeated that no dogs were accepted.
There was absolutely no desire shown to want me to be a client, no basic level of customer service that I would expect from an estate agent. Frankly incompetent. I am very glad she is not an employee of mine.
I am going to rent a 2 bed house or flat in the area, but there is no way I want to even have a chance of dealing with her on a long term basis, so I will not go to anywhere being advertised by Boileau's. I'd recommend you don't either.
