Trust this agency at your peril. First, they took a holding deposit from myself and three other prospective tenants. The proceedings from this point onwards were farcical. Bode is unbelievably incompetent, he hassled us for details which he had already been sent and his response when we corrected him was that 'the office has been busy recently'.
Suffice to say we did not secure the property and we are still to receive the holding deposit back from them.
When I went to the office to try and discuss the issue the police were called as they are just too cowardly to speak in person. I also have a video recording of a staff member being very aggressive to me and attempting to swipe the phone from my hand.
Legal action will almost certainly have to be taken.
Furthermore, they do not seem to be part of an ombudsman scheme, hence they are not a transparent agency.
Do not deal with this company, they try to intimidate customers into backing down and looking at their online reviews no one has a good word to say about them.

Once again Arran is responding with ridiculous allegations and events that did not happen.
We are part of the property Ombudsman and Arran`s allegations are actually disgraceful.
He is lying about 4 police cars having to be called off, just one car with 2 officers were enough to have Arran, his abusive mum and his friend removed from our premises for being aggressive and threatening and for your information the police asked Arran to delete the video he attempted to make in the premises as he did not have permission to film on private property.
Arran I would love to see if you have this video recording still which is unlawful.
Your deposit is still available for a full refund once you and your friends have paid the administration fees which you legally signed for and we have this document as evidence.
This matter is now in the hands of our legal team as advised before and the above statement by Arran is again an attempt of defamation of character.

In addition, a solicitor's letter was sent to their office, which was signed for with recorded delivery. No response was received, showing a severe lack of professionalism.

They called the police when I entered their premises as they are too cowardly to speak in person. They informed the police we were violently threatening them (a plain lie). The police arrived and had to call off 4 other squad cars as they realised the blatant lie Zack had told them.

The housemate in question did not admit to taking too long. Please do upload the recording of such a phone call to substantiate such a claim. I look forward to listening to the fictitious call.

If they consider Bode to be an exceptional member of their team, I would hate to see how incompetent an average member of their team is.

I urge everyone to avoid this agency. Look online at other reviews and you will see the severe lack of positive reviews. I have only found 1 positive review, which exaggerates to such an extent that I believe it to be written by a staff member. Statements like 'stunning office in Central London' is an absolute joke, not unlike their service.

They are also not part of an ombudsman scheme, which is disgraceful.

In addition, when I went to the office, I felt physically threatened. I have video evidence of Zack attempting to swipe away my phone, when he reached out I had no idea what was going to happen as I thought he was going to get violent. Hardly the way to deal with supposed customers.

Do not use this agency, if you do expect to lose a lot of money to indecent people.

My name is Zak and I am the office manager for Duncan Chase and would like to respond to the above exaggerated account of events.

Firstly the holding deposit which Arrun claims we are refusing to refund is total lie, We have all calls recorded and video evidence in the office of their holding deposit being offered back to them.

In return we have asked Arrun and Co to pay our administration fees which they signed for but they refused to pay it. We have never with held any ones payments and Arrun and Co were offered theirs back as well but they then decided that by getting abusive, aggressive and rude, they could intimidate us to not charging them anything for administration. Arruns mum called our offices and swore at Bode a few times and certainly spoke aggressively with me. Her son Arrun then called me and threatened me that he would come to the office and do me something, he did come but certainly couldnt do me anything!!!

Secondly I would like to point out that Bode is an exceptional member of the team and very experienced. From the beginning Arrun and his fellow house mates showed us how pathetic, immature and incompetent they all are in regards to submitting simple, correct and necessary paper work in order to carry out their reference checks. They all took too long and repeatedly sent incorrect documentation. Bode showed his patience, experience and maturity and had to constantly call and email Arrun and Co to submit correct paper work from them and their guarantors. Once the paperwork was in some sort of order, they failed to pay the remainder balance of the agreement in time and unfortunately the landlord accepted another offer and their offer on the property.

Once they was informed of this, Arrun and his mother hounded our staff members with abuse and threats that have all been recorded, and eventually attended our office premises and were escorted off the property by police as they was breaking the law.

I would not recommend any agent to deal with Arun, his mum and his co flat mates as they will try and shift the blame of their incompetence on others just to try and get what they want.

Finally I just want to point out that Jack, one of the housemates/tenants called Bode personally and thanked Bode for all his efforts admitted that they took too long to submit paperwork and make payments. This call has also been recorded.

This matter is now in the hands of our legal team and the above statement by Arrun is an attempt of defamation of character.

Hi Zak, apologies I've only just logged on to this site again as this issue is on my mind given that I have finally won my case with the Property Ombudsman, over 18 months after the ordeal... Hardly surprising though that you are still refusing to pay the award even though the deadline with the TPO was last Friday. Dear Mr David Firstly I just wanted to say how disappointed I was to read your review and comments in regards to Bode and Duncan Chase. We do have a strict code of practice and procedures that we adhere to and if any client is not satisfied with our level or service I would expect them to contact a manager at Duncan Chase to address their concerns.
