Purchased a property with bags of issues. The staff did not reveal the true state of the property, which was claimed only needed a 'lick of paint'. In fact, their appointed surveyor failed to notice that the entire block of flats was subject to a compulsory Council maintenance order! The experience caused so much stress.
What agent could do to change your mind?
The business appears to be driven by greed and as such their integrity is lacking, in my opinion. Unless they change their values, there is no hope!

All properties sold at public auction in the UK are offered as they exist currently with no warranties or research made by the auctioneer. What we do guarantee is a marketable title to the advertised property. At the point of purchase the buyer confirms that they have made all investigations as it is an instant conclusion to the contract. This is a buyer who does not understand the fundamental principal of an auction nor have they made any research prior to bidding. All residential properties come with a RICS home report produced by a independent surveyor. The surveyor comments on the condition of the property but does not make investigations as to whether any refurbishment plans have been made by the community. They buyer should note when buying at auction they must research themselves prior to bidding as it is their commitment. The auctioneer offers the property for sale but does not make all investigations into the property nor do we advertise this. It is the bidders responsibility to do so. Ref. Buyers Premium... £1,500 buyers premium is about the average you would expect to pay in the UK. Our pricing is structured intentionally so and is fair as there are a number of other auction houses in the UK which charge much higher buyer premiums. i.e. £2,000-£5,000+. Our buyers premium is advertised within our catalogue and on our website.
