Originally started my lease with the office listed, however at some point in the three and a half years they moved to Kersland street, and of course never bothered to tell anyone.
During our time here there was several issues, mostly annoying and kept expectations low. As soon as we moved in the "secure" entry was not working, this was a bit worrying as it was a new build. It needed almost forceful entry just to get in, this eventually got fixed, well fixed for the time being, during our time it was repeatedly malfunctioning and turning the magnets off, which in turn caused doors on each landing to open. This was a fire safety feature I believe, and a handy way to know the building has been open all night.
The well maintained garden that is advertised when they list flats in this area is run down grass, and a few plants that never grew and just looked like they had been slapped in from reduced pile at B&Q.
When things go wrong in their properties it is easier to just fix yourself. We were told by contractors to not sue the washing machine or kitchen sink due to a pipe break, which they found by smashing a hole in the wall, it was over a month before countrywide admitted they had no idea about this and sent someone out to fix.
Several ceiling lights had transformers blow and this took a year before they bothered to send an electrician out to fix, you start to wonder what you pay them for.
As the time approached to renew for another 6months a court order appeared declaring the tenancy would be terminated. Thats right no nice phone call to say they wont be renewing court order to quit just, when I rang I was told it was due to landlord selling.
After moving out I underwent the mammoth task of cleaning the property, and it was clean, cleaner than most I have seen.
During the check out appointment which was several days after (had to try and get final bill) I started to feel like I was at fault for living there at all. The staff member wiped his hand on the oven hood and said it was greasy then wiped it on the windows to check them and commented they needed cleaned!!
Tinniest amounts of dust, probably from being left empty for a bit were photographed and comments ensued about how "its quite dusty". The floors had been hoovered and steam cleaned.
Now in the rooms that had carpet the comments continued about how they were worn, well yes carpets after 3 and a half years do tend to show a bit of age, especially as they were most likely the cheapest the builders got.
My deposit scotland now I believe is a total joke, we were told to initiate the release, which we did, 30 working days later, on the last day they could respond, the landlord replied saying they wanted £110 of it to clean. Not like they had three days to decide they had 30working days! Should also be noted the liars also have already letted the flat out since as I had been keeping an eye on their website since, and for not being tidy they used the photos before the supposed "Cleaning" on the ad!!

I am glad to be away from the company, they charge you for services and give nothing back even if you have been with them for a long time putting up with rent increases!!
What agent could do to change your mind?
They could have done their jobs, responded to issues, and not be jerks over cleanliness

We have been letting an apartment from Countrywide Lettings in Glasgow for the last 10 months. This has been our absolutely worst experience with a letting agency to date. Usually we don't care enough to write reviews about anything, but we have endured so much neglect, ...

What agent could do to change your mind?
When they offer they flat to me and demanded the money instantly they should have stuck to the move in date advertised and agreed when I paid upfront. They rent to be reassessed due to property condition. They should not charge such a high amount for admin, and should have told me when they gave me no option but to take a 6 months lease they they would again be charging more admin. They should make it clear on their web page and at viewings that all these charges will apply and will be expected on the spot, and that future paper work charges will be billed.
