My name is Andrea Evans. The last few months I have been searching for a property in burton on trent as I had the sale of my house going through.
I saw a property in May and I remained interested.
Since then, sales negotiator dean Gibson has called me when any new properties were on the market. Every time he called he would also try and get me to see the mortgage advisor. I had already expressed that I had it all in place and was not willing to change that.
A couple of weeks later, he was still persisting so I told him that I had been polite about it but I said to him to stop pushing now as I was not going to take that service.
Last week I decided to put an offer on that first property for 180,000. I sent dean an email as I had been dealing with him, and I followed this up with a phone call. After a discussion about the property i wavered and went up to 185,000. (I do however think 180,000 is a better starting offer).
I was then told that to make an offer that I had to see the mortgage advisor. This made me mad, I couldn't believe that was right at all. He said I needed payslips, and id and to meet with the mortgage advisor to make the offer. I was shocked so I did not respond.
The day after, I spoke to the branch manager who explained this was not the case and I just needed to pop into branch with my details to validate the offer for the vendors. This I thought was acceptable. I planned to go in tomorrow, (Monday). I then received a letter today (as I had been away at the weekend) stating that my offer of 185,000 for a different house completely, was put to the vendors.
I'm appalled again as I don't believe dean listens to anything I have to say, so much so that he put an offer on a house that was never in the equation. He is now messing me around, and no doubt the vendors of that property.
I feel like he's put down that property as he showed us around that house and not the one we actually want.
I had expressed my stress and anxiety of the situation as I am 30wks pregnant.
I have since spoken to the branch manager and two hours later my offer was made and rejected without any hassle. No real apology either. Just not happy.
Terrible service ever!! Put me off putting another offer in!
