Ryden are an absolutely unscrupulous letting agent. Everything goes well until you encounter a problem with the property and have to wait an age for a repair. In my case the boiler failed over the Christmas period and was not fixed until mind January.
On moving out they tried to squeeze as much money from the deposit as possible. Claiming that a professional cleaning was required. I cannot see how this can possibly be true as the house was immaculate (much cleaner than when we moved in!) Every tiny detail on the officious letter they sent us was completed. Needless to say they could not tell us how much this would cost and we had to wait 5 weeks for the deposit to be refunded. All in all a terrible experience with a company that clearly has no business being a letting agent.

I agree with the OP and Lexi. Nightmare of a letting agent. I have never been charged so much with ANY other agency (I've rented from 5 different agencies). They were point blank rude and condecending to us whenever we reported a problem. Our vacuum cleaner stopped working and when we asked them to replace it, they told us to go out and buy one and come in with the receipt, not giving us a budget.
