Contract with the dev....david ball
I'm polish nationality never have been in this country before and this is my experience with eastern European discrimination in Newquay ƒÂ¢¢â€šÂ¬¢â‚¬Å“ David Ball agency.
I sign the tenancy agreement for small studio in Newquay
I paid 400GBP for the first month and security deposit 400GBP, without Inventory check and marking what is working or if is any problems in this flat.
From the first day when I moved in to studio I had problem with low water pressure in the bathroom (not possible to wash my hair) and the washing machine wasn't working.
I reported these problems to the David Ball next day.
When I reported problems to the landlord, he told me washing machine will be fix in the future, but looks like I brooked it and water pressure is low, because is too many tourist in the city and house is located on the hill.
He also told me about doing my laundry and shower my self in his flat.
After waiting a few days finally I went to the second hand store, where he bought washing machine and I asked about guaranty for broken appliances.
The owner from this store came with me the same day to check what is happening and told me it was rubber plug in going out water hose, what wasn't there when they sold this machine.
The David Ball agency hold all my reports about low water pressure, washing machine, broken oven, electric meter card for 10GBP where was only 1GBP after putting in to meter, door bell not working, receiving open envelops with letters, receiving my delivery packages and signing for me where I was present in flat..
Ab. 3 weeks I was waiting for any help about water pressure from David Ball or the land lord.
Finally I didn't have water from Friday all weekendƒÂ¢¢â€šÂ¬¦
I called to David Ball emergency lines, left message for Lesley Howard and spoke with handy man Vas on Saturday.
On Monday I decide to move out to my friend flat to Honiton, because it was no living conditions in this flat and I was afraid ..
When I return the flat keys to Lesley Howard and I was sure they report the case to Health Department, she told me I lost my security deposit, because I don't have any proof about not having water, the land lord has very good reputation, it was never any complains from the tenants and he is willing to fix the problem.
He was willing to fix this problem for 3 weeks ad his final answer was: "it will be like that summer season"
Why the David Ball agency is trying to do business on flats with no living condition and stealling deposits from people or maybe this is only for eastern European people?
What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent was terrible, doesn't care about client rights. She didn't help me with no water in flat problem, no report to Health Department about living conditions and finally she stall my deposit.
