Their fees would be fantastic if you are lucky enough to sell. However you must remember you pay the fee in advance. So when they go non existent after you've handed over your money and you have no choice but to go elsewhere you are effectively paying estate agent fees twice. So in reality they are a very expensive mistake

I have had a similar experience with Purple Bricks. They were very keen before signing up with them, ringing nearly every day but when their sign went up, no viewings, a call once a week at best. Tried to end the agreement and they charged us £1300 to break the contract even though they had not done any viewings. I spoke to an adviser who lodged my complaint but the area manager never telephoned. My TruePilot review got removed. Appalling. ...

Quite funny review this one. I had an interview with them and stopped the skype when no less than the MD told me they don't chase up chains and see the sale through the sale will go through naturally and you need to be chasing instructions. I thanked him for his time (my wife was out of view from the skype call but her face visibly dropped when she heard that). I agree wholeheartedly. Twice now, as buyers, we've had properties sold out from under us even though we had appointments booked to view. On one occasion it was a second viewing. The first we knew was when we phoned to find out why our viewing hadn't been confirmed. How can this possibly be the way to do business. Totally lacking in professionalism and manners. The fees are more if you live in the London area (£1100) didn't mind paying that but there was a £300 fee for them to show the property to clients this was not value for money. And don't forget the VAT. All in All for the service the fees are to much.

Sale fell through as purple bricks didn't do due diligence on the buyer wasted 6 weeks lost the house we were buying. Also charged us £360 for using other solicitors for the aborted transaction. Have now moved from purple bricks as we don't even get feedback from viewers!! All in all I would recommend not using purple bricks to anyone as they still want their £849 for this sub standard service, good luck purple bricks!! ...
