The agent gets the fee regardless of whether they actually sell your property! There are plenty of online agents who offer no sale no fee if you have to use one of the on line alternatives that offer no sale no fee. After the Purple Bricks experience though, as stated above, I would wholeheartedly recommended going to a well established high street agent and negotiate the fee - most of them are willing to negotiate.

Not great. High staff turnover. The estate agents seem really over-worked and not contactable most of the time. Since I've rented my property with them, two staff members left with no notice and no update to myself. Seems an awful company's to work for. Leaving a message for a call back is pointless. Their phone system cuts you off if nobody is available to take your call. And there's a serious lack of information communication between different parties.
